Every week, Brent Wright and Blair Armstrong sit down and talk about the things most people only admit to themselves at two in the morning. Whether you have another gear in you. Whether the version of you that showed up ten years ago is still the one showing up now. Whether “I did my best” is true, or just the fastest way to stop thinking about it.

Most episodes come back to the same ground — discipline, consistency, and doing the work when nobody is watching. A good number get into business and leadership. Others land on health, family, or faith. They run about three quarters of an hour, and they usually leave you with one uncomfortable question to chew on for the rest of the day.

Since May 2023 that has added up to more than a hundred and sixty episodes making the same argument a different way each week: the window you think closed is wide open, and the only thing standing in it is you.

Brent Wright

Brent runs a lot of things. Three automotive businesses on the same stretch of Airport Road in Eugene, Oregon — Bodyworx Automotive Services, Executive Auto Detail and Vintage Motorworx. A wellness center and 24/7 gym, Wright Wellness Center, which he runs with his wife April. A payroll, HR and insurance company, PayrollCentric. And a second podcast, How To Build Your Empire.

He puts the thread running through all of it in one line:

I find fulfillment in seeking wisdom and applying it by helping as many people as I can become successful.

That line is more or less the reason this show exists.

Blair Armstrong

Blair moved from Oregon to the California desert more than twenty years ago and never left. He has lived in six different Coachella Valley communities and leads Team Armstrong, a real estate practice covering Indian Wells, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, La Quinta and Indio.

His own bio describes someone recognized for a proactive and honest approach, who would rather walk you to an informed decision than a comfortable one — which is roughly how he shows up on the podcast too.

What Brent Wright and Blair Armstrong talk about

Episodes are conversations, not interviews. Brent and Blair pick something they are actually working through — a habit that slipped, a decision at work, a hard conversation at home — and talk it out until it makes sense. Most of it comes back to the same ground: discipline, mindset, and doing the work when nobody is watching. Plenty of it lands on business and leadership; a good deal gets into health, family and faith.

The show is for anyone who suspects their best years are behind them and isn’t sure what to do about it. Brent Wright and Blair Armstrong are not experts and have never claimed to be — they are two men roughly the same age, working through roughly the same questions out loud. If an episode reads like it was written about you, that is usually because it was written about one of them first.

The show has been running weekly since May 2023 and there are more than 160 episodes behind it. Nothing depends on hearing them in order, so pick a title that sounds like your week and start there.

New episodes go up every week. You can listen on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, iHeart, Amazon Music or Pocket Casts, or play any of them straight from the episode archive. If there is a subject you want Brent Wright and Blair Armstrong to take on, send it over.

Two states, one call a week

Brent is in Eugene, Oregon. Blair is in Palm Desert, California. They have been getting on a call anyway, near enough every week, since May 2023 — and the argument has been the same one every time: the window you think closed is wide open, and the only thing standing in it is you.
